Six years ago I fell in love with the many soundworlds that the island of Bali has to offer.
Like many others before me, I became fascinated by the sounds of the jungle at night, its crickets and frogs, the waves at its beaches, and by the vibrant bronze music that emanated from nearby temples and floated over the rice fields, created by a magical instrument: the gamelan.
This is my first piece for gamelan.
